Parents Association
Welcome to the Rockland Rowing Parents Association! As a parent or guardian of a rower at Rockland Rowing, you are automatically a member of the PA. We invite and encourage you to get involved!
The Parents Association is a volunteer operation that exists to support Rockland Rowing's programs for our under 19 athletes. While the PA's time and effort is mostly concentrated on regattas, it also supports the club, coaches and athletes in various functions throughout the year to build a sense of community. We need your help to make each RRA event a rewarding and positive experience for you and your rower.
Rowing is how your child spends the majority of their free time and pitching in creates a huge appreciation for how hard the athletes and their coaches work every day. By volunteering you will also learn more about what is going on in the organization; meet others who are also working hard to make RRA the best is can be for all of our children; meet friends and have some fun in the process; and have the opportunity to stay involved in your child’s life at a time when he/she may not think they want it, but when they surely do need it!

How can I get involved?
Below are descriptions of some of the opportunities we have for parents, no experience is necessary! Even if you are not ready to take on a leadership role, you can sign up to shop, cook, clean and cheer at every regatta. Look at your calendar and decide how your family wants to be involved. You can sign up for any duty you want. All Comp and HP families are required to sign-up to help for regattas.
FUNDRAISING
Help organize our fall gala! This fundraiser raises much of the funds Rockland Rowing requires to operate.
Regattas
All parents are invited to participate in organizing food and other activities related to our regattas.
