For Ages 12-18, our competitive and development teams sign up for the same programs to make it easy to move development team rowers onto the competitive team when they are ready. practice times for the two groups may differ and are explained in program descriptions below.

Please complete the following steps to join our youth rowing community:

  • Register and pay for your chosen program (see programs below)

  • NEW !!! Complete Information Form (annually - no longer part of the checkout process)

  • Complete Rockland Rowing waiver (annually)

  • Obtain USRowing membership (only Basic Membership is needed unless rower will be racing at USRowing Youth Nationals, in which case a Championship Membership is needed) - if needed, our club code is HRV4T - USRowing requires their own waiver

  • Watch safety video

  • Show up to practice wearing athletic gear (nothing baggy, wear layers in colder weather), bring filled reusable water bottle, bring a change of clothes, bring receipt of payment

Join us for Winter Season 1! We’ll focus on building strength, improving endurance, and refining rowing technique while continuing to grow as a team and prepare for spring racing.

Dates: November 9–December 19, 2026

Cost: $510 for 30 practices

There will be no practice November 23–28 during Thanksgiving Break

$600.00 every month for 2 months

Pay the $1,200 Fall Season registration fee in two monthly payments of $600. The first payment is charged at registration, and the second payment will be automatically charged one month later. Race fees and other additional expenses are not included.

Head of the Charles Regatta - October 16–18

This race fee is for athletes selected to represent Rockland Rowing at the Head of the Charles Regatta. It is separate from the fall season registration fee.

Upgrade to our new Quick Release Shoe System!

To improve safety, comfort, and consistency across our fleet, all Youth Competitive and Masters athletes will use the Quick Release Shoe System.

Each athlete will have their own pair of rowing shoes, providing a better fit, improved hygiene, and the correct shoe size in every boat. This one-time purchase includes the shoes and shoe plate, which are compatible with the club’s quick release system. The club will provide the base plates installed in each boat.
