Charity Cornhole Tournament

Tournament Gold Sponsor

Dominican University NY Para-athlete and childhood brain cancer survivor Lily competing at Dad Vail National Collegiate Sculling Championship.

One event - two worthy causes

Our charity cornhole tournament supports two causes - the Dominican University Rowing Team that rows utilizing Rockland Rowing’s equipment and facilities and the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation that enhances the lives of children battling pediatric brain tumors and other childhood cancers.

DOMINICAN UNIVERSITY NY (DUNY) ROWING TEAM

Most DUNY rowers are first in their family to attend college. This year we competed in our third Dad Vail regatta - with our men’s team capturing second place in the National Collegiate Sculling Championship Team Trophy while our women placed 5th in the Women’s Varsity Double and won the PR3 Single event. This success is built on hard work, including a winter training trip that needs funding. For more info and to donate, click here or on the button.

FRIENDS OF JACLYN FOUNDATION (FOJ)

FoJ helps young children undergoing chemo and radiation therapy by pairing them with sports teams. DUNY para-rower Lily was paired with a collegiate women’s lacrosse team when she was five years old and battling brain tumors. She is now helping pay that forward by leading the DUNY team’s support for a young cancer patient to be “adopted” by our rowing team. Our collegiate rowers act like older siblings to provide a lifetime support network. For more info and to donate, click here.
